IRONMAN is also a very important and world class event held each May. If you know of it you'll understand just how challenging it truly is. Lanzarote is apparently one of the most arduos locations for the competition and it is amazing to see the competitors swimming 3.8kms, cycling 180kms and finally running a marathon of 42.2kms! Phew! I'm exhausted just typing the distances for you!
